After Nomabali tells Queen Mthembu about her finds and how she was taken for a liar, she takes the matter to Queen MamCwerha, which ends in tears. Athi starts to make herself at home at Zuko’s place.

When Nkosazana starts to think that Khosi didn’t just run away, but that Zuko killed her, things change. While this is going on, Khosi has her first dream about Melisizwe. When she wakes up, she seems to like what happened in her dream.

When Khosi refuses to accept her fate, it causes problems. Nkosazana talks to Athi and Zuko, and the bond between Mthwakazi and Zanemvula is revealed.

Khosi finally gives in when she realises she can’t change her fate, but when MamCwerha steps in, something terrible happens. Zuko tries to show Nkosazana that she is wrong about him, but she doesn’t change her mind.

After she is taken, Khosi fights back and gets away. She then goes back to Melisizwe, who was her first choice for a mate. Nkosazana is tired of just sitting around and decides to go back to Imbo village and find Khosi no matter what.

Khosi sees that Mthwakazi is suffering because of her love, so he chooses to help her get away so she can run away with her commoner lover. Nkosazana sees the sign she’s been looking for and knows she’s on the right track to find her missing daughter.
