Oscar Mabuyane is a South African politician and economist born on 24 February 1974. He is currently the Premier of Eastern Cape, and the Provincial Chairman of the African National Congress.

Political Career
Mabuyane has been involved with the South African Students Congress and the African National Congress between 1995 and 2008.
In 1999, he was appointed as the SASCO branch chairman at the University of Fort Hare. He then became the SRC president of the university in 2000. He was appointed deputy provincial secretary for the ANCYL by the ANCYL from 2008 to 2011.
He was elected provincial secretary of ANC in 2009. While in office, he was twice re-elected.
