Lerato Mvelase (born 7 September 1982) is a South African actress, TV presenter and popular for her role of Katlego on the SABC1 drama Home Affairs.
She appeared in the SABC2 sitcom Home Sweet Home in 2011 as a security guard, Princess. She was mature, intelligent, attractive, enthusiastic and slightly obsessive.

She was a member of the drama department at Sacred Heart College since her childhood.
Lerato spent many years performing in theatre productions as part of her education. She decided to follow her passion for performance. It was a natural progression to pursue a career in drama, singing, and performance.

In a cameo appearance on the e.tv soap opera Backstage (2003), she made her acting debut. The first season of the SABC1 drama Mzansi (2004) saw her play Mbali, an 18-year-old college design student.
Khanyisile Mbau, who was a presenter at Mindset Educational TV from 2003-2005, replaced her as Mbali in the second season.
She was cast as Katlego, the leading role in the 2005 film Home Affairs. Katlego is a drama student who struggles with her identity in South Africa.
