Samthing Soweto (born 21 January 1988 in Soweto) whose real name is Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba is a popular South African singer and songwriter.He is most known for contributing vocals to Sun-El Musician’s song “Akanamali” and for having the number-one single on Spotify, “Akulaleki.”
Mdolomba’s debut album, This N That Without Tempo (2010), which combines a cappella and soul, was released after he left the band The Soil. With his second album, Isphithiphithi (2019), which the Recording Industry of South Africa RiSA certified platinum, he then diverged from the sound of his debut album by fusing Afro pop and R&B.
