Gail Mabalane (born December 27, 1984) is a South African singer, actress, model, businesswoman, and media socialite. She is best known for her roles on the South African TV show “The Wild.” Most recently, she was in the tele-novel “The Road,” which airs every weeknight on Mzansi Magic.
She plays Thandeka Khumalo on Blood and Water, which is only on Netflix. She is best known as one of the Top 14 finalists on the sixth season of M-reality Net’s show Idols in 2010. She grew up in the town of Kimberley, where she was born.

With prominent South African actress Connie Ferguson, Mabalane made her significant acting debut in 2011 as Lelo Sedibe in the MNet TV series “The Wild.” Later, MNet canceled the program in 2013.

She was cast in “Blood and Water,” Netflix’s second African-themed original series. The narrative centers on Puleng Khumalo, portrayed by Ama Qamata, who is carrying out further research into the abduction of her older sister as a baby.
The show will be produced by Gambit Productions and directed by Nosipho Dumisa, a multiple award-winning filmmaker.
